About This Event / イベントについて
The Mitama Matsuri at Yasukuni Shrine is one of Tokyo's most atmospheric summer festivals. The 79th edition illuminates the shrine grounds with over 30,000 paper lanterns (kento), creating a magical landscape of warm light against the dark summer sky.
The four-day festival features a mikoshi procession, a massive Aomori Nebuta float, bon odori dancing, and food stalls. A special night-time inner courtyard viewing is available for ¥2,000. About 300,000 visitors attend each year — a 15-minute walk from Akihabara, it's the district's closest major summer festival.
靖国神社のみたままつりは東京で最も雰囲気ある夏祭りの一つ。第79回では大小3万以上の献灯が境内を彩り、暗い夏の空に暖かな光の風景を作り出します。
4日間の祭典では神輿振り、巨大な青森ねぶた、盆踊り、屋台が並びます。夜間中庭参拝は¥2,000。年間約30万人が来場 — 秋葉原から徒歩15分で、秋葉原エリアに最も近い大規模な夏祭りです。
